This Privacy Policy describes how HodaPress ("we," "us," or "our") handles personal information and related data in connection with the Shopify app Hoda Blog Toolkit(the "App").

By installing or using the App, you agree to this Privacy Policy.

3. About the App

Hoda Blog Toolkit is an embedded Shopify app that extends blog listing and article pages using theme app blocks. Blog content is rendered on the merchant's storefront. The App does not transmit or store blog content on our servers.

4. Information We Collect

The App collects and stores only the information necessary for Shopify authentication and to provide the App.

4.1 Session Information

• Shop identifier (e.g., domain)
• Access tokens and refresh tokens (where applicable)
• Session state, expiration, and granted scopes
• Staff information provided by Shopify during online sessions (user ID, name, email address, locale, account type, etc.)

4.2 Information We Do Not Collect

The App does not collect or store:

• Personal information of store customers (end users)
• Order, payment, or shipping information
• Blog article content, images, or other content (except as displayed on the storefront)
• Marketing or advertising tracking data

5. How We Use Information

We use collected information only for the following purposes:

• Authenticating the App and displaying the embedded admin interface in Shopify
• Providing admin features such as setup guidance
• Responding to app uninstall, scope update, and compliance-related webhooks
• Operating, maintaining, and securing the App

6. Sharing and Third-Party Service Providers

We engage the following service providers to process data as necessary to operate the App. We do not sell or share data with third parties for advertising purposes.

Each provider processes data on our behalf and in accordance with its own privacy policy.

7. Data Handling on the Storefront

The App's theme app blocks display blog content (titles, body text, tags, author names, images, etc.) on the merchant's Shopify storefront. This processing occurs in the customer's browser and on Shopify's storefront infrastructure. Blog data is not sent to our servers.

JavaScript used for the table of contents (TOC) feature reads headings within the page only and does not transmit data externally.

8. Data Retention and Deletion

• Session information is retained while the App remains installed.
• When a merchant uninstalls the App, or when we receive compliance webhooks such as shop/redact, we delete session information associated with that shop.

9. Customer Data Requests

The App does not collect or store personal information of store customers (end users). Therefore, we hold no data subject to Shopify's customers/data_request or customers/redact webhooks.

Merchants should handle customer data requests in accordance with Shopify and their own privacy policies.

10. Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect collected information against unauthorized access, loss, or alteration. However, no method of transmission over the Internet is completely secure.

11. International Data Transfers

The App's hosting and database may be operated on servers located outside your country. In such cases, data may be processed in those jurisdictions.

12. Children's Privacy

The App is not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

13. Changes to This Policy
